"Design is so simple that's why it is so complicated" - Paul Rand
So what is graphic design?
Graphic design is the methodology of visual communication, and problem-solving through the use of type, space and image. Or so it says on wikipedia.
But what does that actually mean and how does the term graphic design translate into a service for you?
Here at Blank Box Design we like to joke that graphic design is drawing pictures and colouring in. Off course it is a lot more than that. If that was all it was, then you could do it yourself.
From the wiki description, the term that should be most relevant to you is “visual communication”. You as a business owner should be looking to communicate visually. Statistics show that people only remember 10% of what they hear, 20% of what they read but 80% of what they see and do.
So based on this it makes sense for you to be communicating visually. Using a graphic design team will make this easier for you. Clearly there are different communication methods for different messages. The blank box team have a solution for pretty much any of them.
For example, you may have a requirement to present statistical information. The team can create you an info graphic. Maybe you require personal branding for networking events. Well hand it to the graphic design team who can create you a logo and business cards. Or communicating directly with your customers about your service offering may be what your aiming to achieve. If so our team can create leaflets for direct mailing.
Some other products that you may use or need that require an element of graphic design could be things such as; posters, flyers, pop-up banners, animations, video intro sequences, product videos, sales brochures, sales presentation, sales catalogues, month end reports and annual reports.
Hopefully this gives an insight into what graphic design is and how Blank Box Design can assist you with your design needs.
